This drawing was done by Wondu S, a kindergartner at The Schoolhouse in South Burlington who wrote this letter to our new president:

Dear President Obama,

I like it that you are brown like me. Maybe I could take a walk with you in the woods.

Geoffrey Gevalt  founded and directs the Young Writers Project, a VT nonprofit working to build a generation of better writers. Lee McIsaac directs YWP's mentoring and publication programs.Kate Fallone is a longtime UVM mentor and YWP instructor.
